Memory Care CommunitiesAlzheimer's and Memory Care communities are considered a special kind of Residential Care community. A diagnosis of dementia is required to be admitted. The exterior doors are secured with key pad locks to prevent wandering. They are staffed with caregivers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week who have special training in caring for people with memory loss.
The goal of Memory Care is to help residents to be comfortable and experience quality of life in a safe environment. They do their best to provide personalized service, and have developed their programs to decrease stimulation and confusion, providing a lifestyle that the individual can embrace.
